Jesse Jr vs Halvorson Gets Even Closer

Is this the next Carolyn Kilpatrick situation? The primary is on March 20th.
A new poll shows that Jesse Jackson Jr, who is receiving a stiff primary challenge by former Rep. Debbie Halvorson, is polling under 50%.  Jesse Jackson Jr’s name recognition is through the roof and yet… he is polling under 50% which is a big red flag.  To add to the drama, new Chicago Mayor and former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has yet to endorse anyone.  Emanuel served with Jackson in Congress and yet… no endorsement yet.  There was noteworthy tension between the CBC and the White House under Rahm Emanuel’s service as White House Chief of Staff.  Could that be playing a role now?

NBC CHICAGO: A new poll shows The results of the polling, conducted Jan. 10 through Jan. 12, gives Jackson a 13 point lead, with the incumbent garnering 48 percent of the vote to Halvorson’s 35 percent.

I say Jesse Jr still pulls this one out but one thing is becoming clearer: It’s going to be close.
