The GOP needs 38 seats to win control of the U.S. House. The next and probably the last, update by Larry Sabator will be on October 28th. Evernyone says Sabator and Charlie Cook are rarely wrong and Sabato has a well known history of being right. The battle for control of the House will come down — LITERALLY — to five or six seats falling one way or the other. The level of power that the Congressional Black Caucus, and of course Dems in the House in general, hangs is in the balance.
