SUPREME TALK. Though it has been reported that the Congressional Black Caucus is to have some special-Supreme-Court-selection meeting I’m not hearing that from the members. What they are telling me is that they are discussing the next possible Supreme Court pick just like everyone else, tossing names around amongst themselves and to each other regarding who they individually would perhaps like to see on the high court.
I spoke with Reps. Emanuel Cleaver, Bobby Rush, Maxine Waters, G.K. Butterfield, Barbara Lee, Keith Ellison, Greg Meeks, Bobby Scott on whether there was, has been or if there is upcoming, a special meeting on the Supreme Court. All I can say is: If there is a special meeting these members haven’t been told about it…
Today the CBC has their weekly meeting at noon in the U.S. Capitol. Surely the Supreme Court pick will come up along with many other topics. The CBC usually has a special guest at their weekly meetings, usually a cabinet official of agency head. There is no special meeting on President Obama’s Supreme Court pick. So far, Judge Leah Ward Sears read here of Georgia, 54 and Judge Ann Claire Williams of Illinois read here, 61 are two black females rumored to be on the White House Supreme Court list.

We want the next supreme court selection to be someone who can be fair and balanced! Someone who can exercise good sound judgement. Also,we want to express more Diversity on the Supreme Court Bench!
