Rep. Charlie Rangel has not voted in the House since February 9, after hurting his back lifting boxes. I received this video from his office on March 28 (though it was uploaded on March 23rd). Everyone says he is doing OK but Rangel has been absent from Congress for almost two months (April 9 would be exactly two months). The House is out of session until April 16. Will he return then? In the meantime the lines of his district have been redrawn and two primary challengers have emerged. Rangel, the second oldest CBC member at 81 years old, taped this video last Friday. Rangel has represented New York in the House since 1971.

I think this should be his last term.
Over 40 years is enough.
Rep.Charlie Rangel, has done a Great Job in The House. He has Represented The State of New York, with Loyalty and a Long and Lengthy Service. He Deserve Plenty of Rest,He has Earned It, However,I would to know,Where is the Racial and Ethnic Diversity in The U.S. Senate? Out of 100 U.S. Senators. Two are Latino…Two are of Asian or Pacific Islander Ancestry….None are African Americans….According to Research, The Senate Body,With Relatively Little Racial or Ethnic Diversity, Will Likely To Continue for Two More Years….How Could That Be in America?….There have been 1,931 members of The Senate,”says one historian” Six Blacks Have Served in The U.S. Senate….Roland Burris of IL. Was Appointed to President Obama’s former Seat, and Served Less Than a Full Term. Six Latinos have had the Title of U.S. Senator. There seems to be a Ceiling,”says one Professor.”People are use to electing Minority Office Holders. More Diversity in The Senate is Over-Due.
