Hurricane Sandy AID:
I’m sure FEMA is providing temporary assistance for those
people displaced by hurricane Sandy.
However The Governor of New Jersey and Governor of New York
are requesting additional assistance, I think New york is
asking for $60 billion. I suppose this $60 billion is to be
spent on infrastructure projects for their state.
Now here is my problem. After Hurricane Katrina (NEW
Orleans, LA 2005) the Federal Gov’t handed over ten’s of
billions of dollars (probably a $100 billion or more). That
money went to contractors, there was no oversight or
accountability. American Citizens who were in need of JOBS
did not receive jobs. Those Americans affected by the
Hurricane did not even benefit from this spending. This was
just reckless spending.
This Country cannot just write blank checks everytime there
is a natural disaster of catastrophic proportions without
proper oversight and accountability. If these contractors
can take unskilled workers from Mexico and hire them and
TRAIN them to do whatever they need done, then they can do
the same thing for Americans who are out of work and need a
JOB! If they are receiving Gov’t money then the Gov’t
should require they use American Workers ONLY, and VERIFY IT!
Because we are living in the FINAL Part of the Last Days of
this System of Things(Jehovah’s Day of Executing Judgement
against this wicked System of Things is almost here), you
will see more of these natural Catastrophic events take
place, they are going to Escalate as time go on. If you
don’t know this, read your Bible. Until such time as “God’s
Kingdom”, We need a functional gov’t. Therefore The Congress
must govern in a responsible manner. It cannot just write
checks recklessly.
I respect Governor Christie and Governor Cuomo, but they may
need to be patient in getting their monies. Congress job is
to see that this money is spent in a responsible manner.
