Greg Meeks Attends Hugo Chavez Funeral

Bill Delahunt, Jesse Jackson, Sr. and… Greg Meeks. Delahunt and Meeks put together the deal with Venezualan socialist Hugo Chavez that helped the poor in the U.S. with discounted home heating oil.  Chavez’s funeral was held today at a secret location and Rep. Meeks was the official U.S. representative.

“All I can say is that the people of Venezuela elected him,” Meeks told the NY Daily News. Meeks said he often disagreed with Chavez, adding, “still, think it was important for this administration, as it was for the Bush Administration, to try to make sure that we had a good relationship.”
