5 House Members Contacted Holder in March on Deaths in Police Custody Law #WalterScott

Below is a March 13, 2015, letter sent by five members of Congress regarding the Death in Custody reporting bill signed by President Obama on December 18, 2014.  The subject of deaths in police custody comes up again after the South Carolina shooting death of Walter Scott by former North Charleston Police Officer Michael Slager.

In an odd speech in January given that President Obama signed the Death in Custody law in December 2014, Attorney General  Eric Holder appeared to know nothing about the law.

DOJ did not respond to a request for comment (as usual).
