DAVID PATTERSON MEETING. Rev. Al Sharpton, met with CBCers Charlie Rangel, Greg Meeks and Yvette Clarke at Sylvia’s Restaurant yum, see here in Harlem, New York. The group met to discuss what the next political move should be a day after New York Governor David Patterson announced he will not run for election as governor. Their conclusions:
1. Now that Gov. Paterson has announced he will not run for re-election, we want to put the focus back on policy not politics.
2. The group will seek a meeting with Paterson to chart a course of action for his remaining 307 days in office.
3. The group wants to seek a meeting with whoever announces for Governor.
4. The group is calling on their respective churches to pray for Paterson’s and his family.
